Our founder Ryan Naples brings decades of experience leading high-profile legislative advocacy campaigns in New York City, New York State, and throughout the U.S. 

While working in the private sector, Ryan worked to pass useful laws, stop unnecessary ones, and introduce new, complex technologies and companies to policymakers on both sides of the aisle. Most recently, he led a 50-state public policy team for DailyPay LLC, a large B2B financial technology company. Ryan previously led advocacy efforts for TechNYC, where he lobbied on behalf of many of the world’s largest technology companies plus small and maturing startups. 

Ryan spent the first decade of his career on campaigns and in New York State government. As the Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs to Governor Andrew Cuomo, he helped pass dozens of bills into law, negotiate multiple state budgets, and manage many of the Governor’s highest profile legislative victories, including cannabis legalization and the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, as well as congestion pricing and the Farm Workers Bill of Rights. 

As Legislative Counsel at the New York State Department of Labor, he helped write and pass the country’s first-ever $15 minimum wage law and second paid family leave law.
